AOEDUS • ABOUT US
Nigeria in focus.
The world in view.
News, context and ideas for readers who want to understand what matters.
Aoedus is a Nigerian news and magazine website focused on the stories shaping life in Nigeria—and the global developments that matter to our readers.
Our guiding idea is simple: Nigeria in focus. The world in view.
What we cover
We bring together national news, politics, business and the economy, entertainment, sport and international affairs. Our aim is to make important developments easy to understand, with clear reporting, useful context and links that let readers explore the original sources.
Our purpose
Aoedus exists to help readers stay informed, ask better questions and follow the people, decisions and ideas influencing their communities. We value the everyday consequences of news as much as the headline itself.
How we approach news
We distinguish verified information from allegations, official statements, opinions and forecasts. When an article draws on another publication or organisation, we identify and link to the source. We do not present a sourced summary as firsthand reporting.
Our launch coverage includes AI-assisted news briefs reviewed against the linked source material. Images accompanying sourced stories are credited to the publications or organisations from which they were obtained.
Accuracy and accountability
Our goal is to be clear about what is known, what remains uncertain and when the information was reported. We aim to correct material errors transparently and keep opinion and sponsored material clearly labelled.
Read our Editorial Standards for more about our approach to sources, corrections and images.
