The Nigerian Official Selection Committee has chosen Damilola Orimogunje’s Dear Ajayi as Nigeria’s submission for the International Feature Film category at the 99th Academy Awards.

The Nigeria–Germany co-production follows two estranged sisters caring for their paralysed mother in southwestern Nigeria in the 1990s. Its dialogue includes Yoruba, English and Igbo.
